We Know Advocacy Works.
MFA has already demonstrated what organized, patient- and family-led advocacy can accomplish.
When Michigan families faced some of the most restrictive surrogacy and parentage laws in the country, MFA organized.
We brought families to lawmakers. We built coalitions. We worked with medical, legal, and policy experts. We helped develop comprehensive legislation. And we kept fighting.
The result was the Michigan Family Protection Act, signed into law in 2024, which transformed Michigan's surrogacy and parentage laws and created new protections for families formed through assisted reproduction.
Now we are taking on the next fight.
We are working to expand access to evidence-based fertility care, including IVF and IUI, while protecting the family-building rights and legal protections Michigan families have gained.

Memberships are annual and begin on the date you join.
Michigan Fertility Alliance Advocates is a 501(c)(4) nonprofit advocacy organization. Because MFA engages in lobbying and advocacy, membership dues and contributions may not be tax-deductible as charitable contributions. Please consult your tax advisor regarding your individual circumstances.
